Sadie was in a pickle, she needed to renew her temple recommend quick as she was working at the temple that week which happened to be the first day of the next month when her recommend expired. Her bishopric came in clutch though as they were able to set an appointment with her and then directed her to the stake 20 minutes before they would be done doing open interviews. She luckily got there in time and was the last to be interviewed. The first face she met there was Derek. He was the executive secretary for the stake and was working in the stake office. They were able to chat before her interview and when she came back, the stake president had Derek print out her recommend which gave them a chance to chat a little more. Right before she left though, Derek took his shot and asked her out for that next weekend. And the rest is history.

We went back to the place of our first date, a nice park with a great overlook of the Utah Valley. They wanted to see the sunset there as that was the original intention to do there on the first date, but they got there too late. Though luckily this time around, they were right on time for a beautiful Summer sunset. Derek had a beautiful set up at the top with pictures of each other. The question was popped and Sadie was for sure on her answer of yes!
