YES! You do need a passport! Your passport must not expire while on the trip. It takes 8-12 weeks to get a passport so please plan accordingly. You will also need Aruba's Embarkation/Disembarkation Card upon arrival to the country. This can be found at this site: https://edcardaruba.aw/
SUNCREEN, SUNCREEN, & MORE SUNSCREEN! please make sure the sunscreen is REEF SAFE! It is better to bring your own so you do not have to pay about 25 USD for a bottle of sunscreen. Be sure the sunscreen you bring is coral safe. We also recommend bringing the following: -Pool Float for pool/beach - reusable insulated water bottle (Aruba tap water is safe!) plus reusable cups are good for poolside drinks! - Hat, light sweater, hair ties, sunglasses, comfortable shoes, chapstick with SPF
The resort is not all inclusive. You will be responsible for food and drinks outside of the activities we have planned.
We recommend downloading an app called MOBILE PASSPORT CONTROL to help get through customs faster. The Aruba airport is small & hectic, and it is recommended to arrive at least 3 hours prior to departure especially on the weekend. You can scan your passport and up to 12 other guests. https://www.cbp.gov/travel/us-citizens/mobile-passport-control You will also need Aruba's Embarkation/Disembarkation Card upon arrival to the country. This can be found at this site: https://edcardaruba.aw/ You WILL NOT need proof of COVID-19 vaccination or proof to negative test
Aruba is a very safe island, and it is actually encouraged to leave the resort and explore the island! Although it is a small island, there is a lot to explore. We recommend renting ATVs/UTV for a day to explore other parts of the island.
The attire for the wedding is chic beach- think linen, resort style clothing! Aruba is hot and windy! Ladies: you will be taking boat to get to the island and the ceremony and reception will be on sand. We recommend sandals or wedges, not stiletto heels. We recommend bringing a hairclip or hair tie as the island can get windy! Guys: Pants and a linen shirt are recommended. We recommend sandals or casual shoes with no socks. At the reception there will be a shoe check location for those who decide they don't want to wear shoes once you arrive to the island. Please note everything is on the sand besides walkways and the restroom.
Transportation from the airport to the resort is about $10 USD (one way) and is about 5 minutes from the airport. The resort does not offer transportation.
There will be water taxis to take guests to the island from the resort.
US dollars are accepted everywhere, and the exchange rate is good.
