We're Getting Married!

Sabrina was in marching band with several of Neal's friends (he went to a different school). On one fateful fall night during a Carlsbad High School football game the two met and quickly became best friends. They started dating senior year of high school and went to prom together. 17 years later and lots of unexpected twists and turns and here we are!

Neal and Sabrina had not talked in almost 5 years, no communication whatsoever. Sabrina was standing in line for a sold out concert in Arcata (Sierra Ferrell w/Nick Shoulders) when she heard "is that Sabrina?!" followed by some back and forth. She turned around and with great surprise saw Nick (Neal's brother) and Jesi (soon to be sister-in-law). They caught up with tears of joy and Nick informed Sabrina of Aunt Cindi's passing and mentioned that the Norton's were hosting a Celebration of Life in two weeks. It just so happened Sabrina was going to be in Anaheim for a work conference that same weekend, she knew she had to go but was very nervous about seeing/talking to Neal. Two days prior to the event Sabrina worked up the courage to call Neal and everything changed. When we finally reunited, we were not trying to get back together but we couldn't deny the way we still felt about each other. We both needed the time apart to grow and re-discover who we are. We hung out all day catching up, ate some late night rolled tacos and then went our separate ways. Neal and Sabrina started talking every day and made plans to meet up in Las Vegas to reconnect away from it all. We rapidly fell back in love and knew we would be together forever. Sabrina went back to Humboldt; Neal went back to San Diego. Two months later we met up in Joshua Tree where Neal proposed at Key’s View July 19th. Two months later, Neal moved to Humboldt. Life has been unexpected, and the adventures we have shared in such a short amount of time have been incredible. We are in love and stronger than ever and we are so excited to spend the rest of our lives with each other. The time apart strengthened our relationship and reminded us of both that the connection we have is rare.
