We're getting married!

2020 was a tough year and for Shennel and Michael, it was no different. Both grieving losses during the pandemic, they took to online sites looking for someone to distract them from their realities. They eventually matched on Tinder and ended up bonding over their losses, being a support for each other during their time of grief. In this time of sadness and sorrow, little did they know that God was doing a work in the background. Over months of friendship and time of healing, a small seed of love was planted and began to grow. The more they hung out and got to know each other, the closer they became. Then on January 1, 2021, Mike professed his love to Shennel and started the new year with a newfound hope for his future. Throughout the year, they traveled together across the US and eventually to Mexico where he had big plans for Shennel. One night on a romantic trip to Puerta Vallarta, Mike set up a beautiful sunset dinner on the beach where he hired a singer to set the mood. When she walked on the beach she was met with a bouquet of roses, a dinner table in a heart mote lined with candles and rose petals, a large crowd of people, a beautiful sunset, and her fiance' to be smiling nervously. Mike led her down to the dinner table where he gave a heart-wrenching speech of his love for her, how she changed his life, and his commitment to her as he pointed to a giant heart drawn in the sand that said "Will You Marry Me?". Barely heard over the loud crowd of cheering people, she said "Yes"! And this is only the beginning. They are so excited for you to be apart of their continuing journey when they commit themselves to each other before God, friends and family on April 29, 2023.
