"I do"

Ryon was exploring WSU with his bible study leader Conner, and they ended up at Flix where Alyssa and Tiara were hanging out. Conner introduced us to each other, and that was about it. From that moment on, they would hang out somewhere on campus, or sometimes at church. It was either that moment --- or when Tiara and Alyssa crashed Conner's bible study and they sort of met then. We're pretty sure it was at Flix though.

» Ryon and Alyssa became close friends, always enjoying each other's company. When Tiara, the Maid of Honor, needed a lift from Ellensburg, Alyssa asked Ryon if he would be willing to make that drive. Ryon said he would (the girls would cover the gas of course), a few days later, Tiara said she had a ride to Pullman. Both Ryon and Alyssa were a bit bummed but shrugged it off. » At some point, Ryon's Dad came to Pullman, and at the end of Church on Sunday, Alyssa went to go tell Ryon something but waited because he was in the middle of a conversation. She waited for Ryon to finish the conversation, and stood next to Ryon's dad the whole time and didn't know. Eventually, she told Ryon what she needed to, and went on with her day -- Well Ryon's dad later said "That girl likes you" which Ryon denied immediately. » Before they started dating, Alyssa and a friend frequently hung out at Ryon's place. At some point, Ryon went on a week-long trip with his old roommate to visit his dad and family. During the trip, his roommate, dad, and brother Nathon all teased that Alyssa liked him and that he liked her too. When Ryon returned to Pullman, Alyssa and her friend coincidentally showed up about 15 minutes later. Ryon started thinking about his feelings, and after sitting together watching a movie with friends, and feeling what can only be described as butterflies -- there was no denying it. Later that summer, they started officially dating. Tiara (Alyssa's best friend) and Ryon's dad, old roommate, and brother called it... Ryon and Alyssa just denied it for a while.

Alyssa and Ryon spent a full day "that she planned" in Coeur D'Alene Idaho, at the farmers market, the petting zoo, and shopping. After a nap, the two headed over to Texas Roadhouse for dinner with his grandparents, after dinner, they sat in the hotel lobby with Grandma Julie and Grandpa Ron catching up. Ryon started checking the time and realized that the sun was going to set soon, so he said that he and Alyssa had to go, because they were planning to watch the sunset. This should have been a clue because he never cuts off conversations that quickly, especially when it's with family. They got to downtown Coeur D'Alene and made their way towards the boardwalk. After about 10 minutes of Ryon acting nervous (and Alyssa still not picking up on it because he said he had a "headache") Ryon hugs Alyssa, grabs her hands, and says "I love you so much." after about another minute or so of Ryon stumbling through words, and some tears, he gets down on one knee (that was finally when it clicked in for Alyssa) and he asks her to marry him. Choked up, teary-eyed, and overwhelmed with emotion, she nods and manages to squeak out a "yes"! We're so excited to celebrate this next chapter in our lives with you. See you in Hawai'i!
