Thank you to everyone who has already helped to make this time in our lives so special! We feel so blessed & cannot wait to celebrate with you all.

While we are from the same hometown and actually went to high school together, we didn't hang out in the same crowd. When Max transferred to IU sophomore year is when we really started to become friends and by senior year, we were spending a lot of time around one another. That's when we realized that there may be something more than just a friendship between us! After graduation and back at home for the summer, Max asked me on our first official date. I was so incredibly nervous, but we had the best time just talking & laughing. Shortly after, Max moved to Chicago to start his job, and I was off to NYC to start mine. A couple of weeks later, I asked Max if he wanted to come visit and help me officially move all my stuff in to my apartment. On his last night there, we decided to take a chance on a long-distance relationship & the rest is history!

Ryleigh won free, round trip flights through a random work giveaway, so we decided to plan a trip to Europe. We chose London, Paris, & Amsterdam. I figured there couldn't be a more perfect time to finally propose, so I started coming up with a solid plan and picked out the ring a few months before. I decided Paris (obviously) would be the city it was going to go down! I was just hoping TSA wasn't going to bust me with the ring on the way over, but luckily I got through smoothly. After a couple of days in London, the Paris leg of the trip began. We took an afternoon train into the city, checked into our hotel, and had a delicious dinner. The next morning, our first full day in Paris, is when I would pop the question. We woke up and enjoyed a cup of coffee on our hotel balcony, which happened to have a beautiful view. I was so nervous - I forgot everything I wanted to say, but still managed to get down on one knee and ask Ryleigh to marry me. Luckily, she said yes! We then spent the day exploring, sharing the news with family & friends, and enjoying a night cap with champagne back on the balcony watching the Eiffel Tower light up!
