The first time we met we were 15. We actually went to high school together and had gym together freshman year! However, that is not where our story begins. Brody began to work with Rylee's dad during the summer painting houses, after he graduated from high school. The summer of 2019 Brody was helping paint a house down at Grand Lake. They weren't able to get the house done by the end of the week, and right before Brody left to go home for the weekend, Rylee and her family invited Brody to stay for the weekend. After a weekend of fun on the lake, we made sure to exchange updated phone numbers and that began a year and half of long distance dating.

We were at Grand Lake for the Shiner Races, an fun lake event that Rylee's grandparents put on that includes; tasting moonshine drinks, relay races, a food truck, and a live band. After a long day in the sun, and lots of relay events and good food, the band began to play music. A couple of songs in, Brody and Rylee's song "Wanted" by Hunter Hayes began to play. Rylee and Brody began to dance together and about mid-song Brody got down on one knee and asked Rylee to marry him. Of course she said yes!
