Our story began on October 9th, 2022. It was a Wednesday. The first time I joined our worship team at my new home church. It was also the day I met the drummer, Ryan. (Ask him what I was wearing that day, and he can tell you.) Little did we know our story had already been written, and now it was time for us to walk in it. After that day, that was it. For the next 5 weeks I was away working on a project & wasn't able to attend Sunday services until Mid November rolled around. Once back home, we were leading worship together weekly. We welcome 2023 sweetly, and Ryan heard clearly from the Lord that January, "your wife is coming, prepare." So with curiosity and expectation he began to walk and live different. All the while, I was waiting, worshiping, and without even knowing it, preparing too. You see, The Father prepares His children for the promise. for the pursuit. We just gotta be patient. & prayerful. Spring sprung & Resurrection Sunday led our congregation into full blown revival where we were having services every night for THREE WEEKS STRAIGHT! That's when we fell in love. Ryan asked me to get coffee on a Monday, and I said to myself, "Wow! Everyone on the worship should be more intentional with one another!" I had no idea coffee equaled interest in me. I just thought I found a new friend. But it was after he sincerely looked me in my eyes and said, "tell me your story" and I shared honestly with him, that my eyes began to open to what was right in front of me. He shared his story too, and I had never met a heart like his. And that night as we led worship together... something shifted. On May 5th, just a couple days later, Ryan and I were driving to Church for one of those revival nights. After a few moments of silence he said softly, but confidently, "I like you. But I don't know at what capacity the Lord wants you in my life." Shocked, yet secure, I hit the steering wheel. "I know right?! I just wanna know. I like you too." "No" He said calm and collected, "I'm the man. The Lord will tell me". And that very next day, again in the car, Ryan said out of no where, "I know at what capacity the Lord wants you in my life". "Really? Whats that?" I said curiously. "You're my wife." And without hesitation, I simply responded, "okay". It was once it was spoken, that my spirit resonated. It rested. It was not just found, but discovered, and treasured by someone who sought permission from the Father to pursue. He never asked me to be his girlfriend. It was a mutual understanding that this is far more. The Lord has already spoken, we agreed, so let's journey together towards what He has said. Walking in the Spirit until He releases us to say, "I do." 9 months later you bought a ring. 9 months later I bought a dress. I didn't know you had a ring, and you didn't know I had a dress. Again, both preparing. As you waited for the go ahead from the Father, we continued to worship together corporately, and privately. And on February 17th, you got down on one knee and said, "I told you, since day one, that you were my wife. I want to be your husband. Will you be my wife?" And instead of an, "okay" behind the steering wheel, "YES" was the only word I could form as a desire and dream of a little girl, was now this young woman's reality. We have worshiped since the beginning. Before knowing one anothers names, to the platform twice a week, and now towards the "I do" day. YOU, friends + family have helped us get to this beautiful chapter in our stories. And we would love to worship our way to Williams with you. We hope to see you on June 25th! With much love and joy, Ryan & Georgia
