In April 2018, in the era of digital connections, neither of us expected that a swipe on a dating app would lead to something profound. We each went into it with open minds, not thinking that love would be on the horizon. But soon after connecting, we both realized that this was unlike anything we’d experienced. There was an undeniable spark, and our bond quickly blossomed into something real and meaningful. Just a few months later, in September 2018, we took our first trip together to Las Vegas for Ryan’s 24th birthday. Little did we know, this trip would mark the beginning of our endless love for the city of lights. We’ve returned there countless times, each visit bringing its own set of special memories. By June 2019, our relationship had reached the next milestone as we moved into a townhome in The Woodlands, TX. It was our first home together—a place filled with laughter, love, and dreams of what lay ahead. As our relationship continued to grow, so did our vision for the future. In July 2020, we started the process of building our first house. And by December 2020, we were finally able to call our beautiful new place in Cypress, TX, home. Over these amazing six years, we’ve created a lifetime of memories—exploring new places, growing together, and even sharing a fondness for car purchases. Each chapter has only deepened our connection, and looking back, it’s incredible to think that it all started with one swipe.

As the final seconds of 2023 slipped away, we stood together on the patio of our suite on the 67th floor of The Cosmopolitan, overlooking the glowing lights of the Las Vegas strip. The energy in the air was electric, the anticipation of a new year palpable, especially after one of the most challenging years we shared since dating. From high above, we had a perfect view of the city, watching as people celebrated below and fireworks began to illuminate the sky. Just as the clock struck midnight, the sky erupted in a dazzling display of fireworks, each burst lighting up the night in brilliant colors. As we cheered in the New Year, Vinny suddenly took Ryan's hand, and with a smile that matched the sparkle in the sky, he dropped to one knee. “Will you marry me?” he asked, his words filled with love, promise, and the hope of a lifetime together. It's what felt like time stood still. Against the backdrop of fireworks and the thrill of new beginnings, Ryan said 'yes'. The cheers and celebrations of the city became our own as we embraced, standing on top of the world in a moment that was just ours.
