The Proposal - Ryan's Story

7.10.2019

We hopped on a plane to Nashville to soak in some country music and visit Jordyn's Mom in Chattanooga. Just a normal vacation in Jordyn's estimation. When we arrived at the airport we grabbed our bags and picked up the rental car. I had mentioned Arrington Vineyards, a beautiful place I wanted to visit. Check in wasn't for a few hours so we decided to head straight to the vineyard. Just as I had planned. We arrived, ring in pocket. We decided to climb up the hill the vineyard rests on. Must've been 120 degrees outside. Great, as if I wasn't sweating enough already (depicted above, where's Photoshop when you need it). I anxiously awaited for the photographers arrival. I saw her start to walk up the hill and knew the time had come. To my surprise, so did Jordyn. She had pieced the clues together and she threw all of her belongings to the ground and waited for me to drop to a knee. The rest is a blur. All I know is she said yes. Wine never tasted so good. We are excited to have you join us on October 1st, 2021 to celebrate that answer.

The Proposal - Jordyn's Story

7.10.2019

We had this vacation planned to Nashville and Chattanooga for about 6 months or so. I was already so excited because I love country music so much, and we were planning on seeing my mom afterwards. We had an early flight and I remember Ryan asking me what I had planned on wearing on the plane. Why did it matter? I remember landing around 10am or so, and we couldn't check into the Air B&B for a while so we had decided to get some chicken and waffles for brunch then head over to Arrington Vineyards right outside Nashville. It was easily over 100 degrees outside. Ryan suggested we hike to the top of this hill on the vineyard because the views were supposed to be amazing, which they were. We looked around for a bit and took in the views. I kept suggesting we go inside for the tasting soon because we were sweating. Ryan kept stalling saying things like, eh just a few more minutes. I had pretty much caught on by now. When I saw a lone woman walking up the hill with a camera around her neck, I for sure knew at this point, so I threw my bag aside (no one wants that to ruin their pictures!). He got down on one knee, and kept it short and sweet. He said something like "we've been together for four years now and I'd like to make that official for the rest of our lives." Of course I said yes! Then we finally got to head inside for that much deserved wine!
