What pairs well with hiking, swimming, eating and beer? ICE CREAM. Canteen Creamery is NOT your average ice cream stand. Just ask the Food Network, they gave them a shout out. Their food is good too if you are looking for a walk up, sit outside venue.
This is only an option if you're in the area for dinner on Friday, but if so, well worth it!
A hole in the wall taco place with outstanding food!
If you need to wash down that taco there is always Lawsons Finest Taproom. It is worth a stop and it’s practically across the street from Mad Taco.
This is a hike at a ski mountain, but the trails are easy to find, the hiking is not overly strenuous, and the views are beautiful. If hiking is not your thing, there is also golf and disc golf. Tons of great hikes in this area!
Quintessential Vermont, Saturday 9am -1pm!
Great place to grab some coffee, breakfast sandwich, or lunch. Happens to be very close to Warren Falls (https://www.outdoorproject.com/united-states/vermont/warren-falls) - a great swimming hole!
If you really want a wet adventure, tubing on the Mad River is a great way to spend the day! If you are staying up by Sugarbush, I’d suggest sandwiches from Paradise Deli (they also have provisions if you need to stock up your Airbnb - https://www.paradisevt.com). Then, head off to Clearwater Sports to get tubes and a ride to the drop off point.
If you are staying more towards Stowe area, spending the day in town is never a bad idea! Trapp Family Lodge Bier Hall is a fun spot and there's some great hiking up Stowe Mountain, as well as a more proper hike up Sterling Pond trail.
