In 2019, Brielle and Ryan were both working as medical assistants. Let’s just say it was not love at first sight. Brielle tried to get Ryan fired on the first week of work, thankfully management decided not to listen to Brielle and kept him around. What started out as co-workers grew into a friendship, which quickly grew into more. Ryan asked Brielle on their first official date to a NY Giants game and she knew right away that this was something different. Ryan and Brielle bonded over their shared passion to become PA’s, love of sports and Brielle’s one of a kind Basset Hound Maisy. They often enjoyed grabbing margaritas at a local Mexican restaurant after work was over. They supported each other through the ups and downs of applying to schools. Luckily they both found out they had been accepted to programs, unfortunately they were not in the same state. But, they decided to give long distance a try. As the time went on they grew even closer through their long phone calls and committed drives between NJ and RI. Then when the pandemic hit they found some fortunate luck as some online classes allowed more time together and great adventures through the New England area. They even decided to add some extra chaos to their lives by adopting a crazy pup named Maeve. Going to PA school in a pandemic was hard enough, but thankfully they became each others rock when they needed it the most!

As their time as students came to an end they decided to celebrate with a trip to the Hamptons. They stayed at a cozy Inn on the water in Sag Harbor. They spent the day walking around downtown and visiting wineries. After a long day, all Brielle wanted to do was go back to the room and relax, but Ryan insisted on going for a walk on the beach. Ryan had one extra surprise planned to kick off the weekend. They got to the beach right before sunset, but the weather decided to take a turn and what went from a beautiful day turned into quite the chilly evening. Ryan still insisted on going for a walk and further insisted we needed to ask someone to take our picture, something he has NEVER insisted on before. Luckily there were other brave souls on the beach and asked him to take our picture. Little did she know, that “picture” he was asking him to take would actually be a video of one of the best moments of her life. Ryan, short and sweet, asked Brielle to marry him to which she said YES!! OF COURSE! They spent the rest of the night drinking a bottle of wine on a boat dock, taking it all in.
