Genesis 2:24 - And the two shall become one flesh

Our story began in the spring of 2014. We were both pursuing Aerospace Engineering degrees at Purdue and happened to end up in the same lecture for the most boring class at Purdue. Although Becca doesn’t remember (probably because she was busy actually paying attention), we first met during this class, but it wasn’t until the fall of 2015 when we ended up in another class together (where, by the way, Ryan strategically placed himself on the same team as Becca) that we really started to get to know each other. Late in the spring of 2016, our friend groups began to merge, and we actually started to hang out outside of the Aero lab. As the school year wound down and graduation was fast approaching, our friendship had turned into a relationship. After graduation, Becca was off to Texas and Ryan headed to Iowa, and so began the saga of long distance, spending countless weekends and way too much money flying back and forth. As our relationship grew stronger, distance grew to be harder and harder, until finally in the spring of 2017, Becca moved up to Iowa. In August of 2018, Ryan planned Becca a “birthday trip” up around Lake Michigan where we spent several days traveling and camping along the lakeshore. During this trip, on August 11th, and after hiking the island all day, we were walking along the beach of Mackinac Island overlooking the bridge, and Ryan surprised Becca with a proposal! And now we’re here, anticipating the best day of our lives, thus far, and we can’t wait to celebrate that with all of our closest family and friends. We’ve grown so much over the past few years and are eager to see what the future holds for us!
