From Ryan's Perspective: Ariana and I met at a Kickball game. I randomly sat across from her at dinner afterwards. Someone asked me if I had ever discerned the priesthood and I had said yes and I shared my experience with that. She looked at me told me that she admired that. I looked at her in the eye and said "thanks," and then I really couldn't stop looking at her. She also shared how she had discerned the Convent and I also shared my admiration of her. We went across the street and ate ice cream with everyone, except she was the only one I talked to. After an hour of talking to her, I asked her on a date. We went on a few dates and I finally asked her to be my girlfriend, then later on to be my wife...but not on the same night. She and I talked to each other after a couple of months of dating about marriage. We both knew we wanted it, we both knew we wanted it with each other. So we were like "what are we waiting for?" We consulted some wise people and prayed about it...a lot...and then I proposed three weeks later. And now, we are honored to have you as a part of another chapter of our journey. From Ariana's Perspective: After a group kickball game, we all decided to have dinner and Ryan sat down across from me in what was coincidently the last seat left. Before the night ended he asked me out on our first date. What was meant to be a short coffee date ended up lasting over 5 hours. After a few weeks, he asked me to be his girlfriend and we shared our first kiss. After a few months, he asked me to be his wife and now we will share a last name. Thank you for being joining us on our wedding day.
