We met the old fashioned way... on Hinge. Right as I was just about to delete the app, Ryan sent me a funny message and the rest is history. We went on our first date to The Lodge in Chicago and Ryan said he knew he was going to marry me after our second date. I, however, took a little longer to figure that out and luckily Ryan stayed patient and persistent. After two weeks, he told me he loved me. After two months, we moved in together. After 9 months, we bought a house together in Wheaton. Now, we are engaged and excited for this next chapter! Our wedding date is almost the exactly two years from the day we first met. I guess it is true what people say... when you know, you know.
Ryan had the ring for a couple weeks and had been working on an entire proposal plan, but days before he planned to propose, he decided he couldn't wait any longer. He ran upstairs to grab the ring and got down on one knee in our kitchen while we were wearing matching Kirkland sweatshirts from Costco. I proceeded to ask if it was a joke and can't remember anything he said other than "Alexandra" and "will you marry me?" I do remember saying YES!
