The Schuylkill River Trail can be accessed from three different locations in the town:  the Reading Railroad Heritage Museum, State Street Trailhead, and Hamburg’s Community Park. This trail actually crosses the Appalachian trail

Another option for those who are coming a day or so early. This sounds like a great brewery and close by.
