Jo Anna and Jason probably met on a Saturday morning in the auditorium of Cardinal O’Hara High School in 2001. (Yes, we said Saturday morning. Voluntarily. As teenagers.) They spent their weekends, sometimes starting at 9 in the morning and going until 9 at night, building sets and doing tech work for the upcoming musical directed by Eddie Allen. Jason found his calling for audio engineering in those early days of tech rehearsals while Jo Anna took center stage—literally. In her senior year, she landed her first lead role as Fantine in Les Misérables, and Jason ran the audio board for the first time. Jo Anna graduated in 2003, Jason followed in 2005, and from there, life took them in different directions—universities, fronting rock bands, first jobs, filmmaking, living in various states, Marriott titanium status, and so on. Nearly 20 years later, fate (and a memorial celebration for Eddie Allen) brought them back together. The moment they saw each other, it was on—as the kids say. From their first date seeing The Super Mario Brothers movie in theaters to their most recent adventure in Hawaii, Jason and Jo Anna have found that life is just better together. Jason makes Jo Anna feel calm and grounded, and Jo Anna makes Jason laugh—a lot. Now, after two decades, a rekindled connection, and countless memories, they couldn’t be more excited for what’s ahead. And they’re ecstatic to celebrate their love with all of you—no set building required.
