Natalie and Sam believe fate brought a man from Manchester, England and a woman from Scranton, Pennsylvania together.  The couple met with a "like" on a dating app. Actually, it was three likes, as Natalie and Sam matched three separate times on the app before going out on a date. After the third match, Sam finally asked Natalie out for drinks. Disappointed it had taken him so long to ask, Natalie was a bit skeptical. So, she agreed but told him she had to leave by 8 pm in order to make it to a friend's birthday party. When they finally met and began talking, they instantly felt a connection and wondered why they had waited so long to make plans. They talked for hours; long past the time Natalie originally told Sam she had to leave by. They soon fell in love and haven't stopped talking or making plans since. A big test came when Natalie and Sam introduced their fur babies to one another, Winston and Busby. It was doggie love at first sight! 🐾 The couple’s relationship grew deeper in love and respect over the next two years because of their love of family, friends, travel, and of course, Winston and Busby. On October 27th 2023, Sam surprised Natalie with a beautiful and romantic Georgetown Waterfront proposal (Natalie thought they were going to a social event on the water for Sam’s work). While Natalie and Sam may have met in a more contemporary style by matching on a dating app, they know there was a bit of magic involved. How else would a man, who reluctantly moved to the United States at 17 years old, and a news reporter who had spent a decade living all over the country, find themselves in the same city, at the same time?
