We were always taught to never talked to strangers on the internet, in this case, we ignored that advice! In 2018 we both decided to check out what Bumble had to offer in DFW. Immediately hit it off with our mutual love for pizza, beer and our Midwest roots.

Why have one special moment, when you can have a handful! Justin proposed to Rubi several times during their relationship, and every time he did, she thought I was he was just joking around. The first time was about 6 months into their relationship while sleeping at his apartment. He woke up and let her know how he would be marrying her. Of course, she told him that he was crazy, shushed him and everyone went back to sleep. Over the next couple years, his declarations of marriage were met with “don’t be ridiculous” and “quit messing around”. So like any sensible couple they adopted a dog together, then bought a house and a car together. On one of their annual trips to New York, Justin let her know that it was time she pick out her engagement ring in the diamond district. After the initial shock and omg-ing, a ring was picked!

We are always asked, "why New York?" Justin lived in New York for 11 years, Rubi has loved New York for as long as she can remember thanks to classic movies like "You've Got Mail", "Breakfast At Tiffany's" and basically any rom-com you can think of. 2019 - Nine months into dating we went to New York City. This trip was full of milestones. Rubi's first trip to NYC, first long distance trip as a couple, and signed the lease to our first place together digitally while we were on the subway! 2021 - Christmas in NYC! This was our second trip. We did all the tourist Christmas stuff. Rockefeller Center, Bryant Park, Bergdorf holiday windows, Serendipity and Max Brenner. The biggest and most memorable part was of course our engagement! 2024 - It's wedding time!
