We're getting married!

Dylan and Alexis both attended Cal Poly San Luis Obispo as music majors. Dylan was a trumpet major and Alexis was a voice major, which meant that they did not always have classes together, until they both enrolled in the conducting classes at the same time. Although they had met before these courses, this is really when they got to know each other. They went on their first date on October 26, 2013 to a Pumpkin Patch and the rest is history! Once they started officially dating, they tried very hard to keep it private from their professors in the music department so that things wouldn't be "weird," but the Cal Poly SLO music department is a small, tight-knit family, so word traveled fast. Their teachers knew much sooner than they were aware, which brought on some funny moments, which will be remembered forever.

Dylan planned a special 27th birthday for Alexis at Chart House in Dana Point, California. They ate a delicious dinner and watched the sun set on the beach from their table. After dessert, Dylan asked Alexis to take a walk on the beach with him. Alexis was hesitant because well... she's a weenie and is afraid of the dark! But, she went anyways. Dylan guided her down a path to the beach where they looked at the moon and stars. Then he popped the question! Of course Alexis said yes, and thus began their engagement.
