Tim and Katie met in Jacksonville Beach, Florida in 2018. Katie was coaching at a local gym, CrossFit Total Control, when Tim joined the gym after moving to Jax for work. Although their fairytale has a happy ending, it wasn't love at first sight. But on Tim's birthday, Katie asked him out (yep, you read that right!) to share in her favorite thing...tacos. And well, you know the rest!

Tim proposed to Katie in Whistler, Canada on New Years Eve 2021. The couple had planned a ski trip with a group of friends to celebrate the new year and enjoy some time in chillier climate, but little did they know the roller coaster of a ride their experience would be. After FOUR cancelled flights, 6 hours of driving between airports, and Arctic Freeze, and two COVID-19 testing nighmare stories, the two made it to Canada for an incredible trip. On New Years Eve, Tim took Katie for a "scenic walk" to a "coffee shop" in -1 degree weather; and in the perfect spot on the trail underneath the snow covered Evergreens, Tim (literally) fell onto one knee and popped the question. He even had the forethought to hire a photographer to capture every ugly tear, frostbitten finger, and magic of that special moment!
