Question

What airport should I fly into? How the heck do I get there?!

Answer

Unfortunately, there are no direct flights to Mammoth during this time, so you will have to fly into surrounding areas and rent a car Woohoo, road trip! From LAX or Burbank airport, Mammoth is about a five hour drive through the Mojave desert and small western roadside towns where you could stop for lunch or just to poke around. Watch the beautiful Sierra Nevada take shape after driving through a flat desert landscape, and don't forget to stop and look at Mt. Whitney in Lone Pine! Reno airport is the closest airport to Mammoth, with the drive around 3-3 1/2 hours. Plus, you can stop into a casino and gamble! San Francisco is also an option and is around the same distance from Mammoth than Los Angeles.
