In the peak of COVID, there was no other way to meet people than on a dating app. We both happened to download Hinge and Sam immediately asked me out on a date. Our first date was hiking on the East Palisades Trail in Atlanta followed by dinner on the Beltline at Nina and Rafi.

When I was starting medical school and moving away to Augusta, there was no question Sam and I would stay together. This was also the same time my dad passed, and Sam's support through that incredibly difficult loss made me know this was the real deal.

After (almost) 2 years of many many drives down I-20, Sam finally made his way to Augusta with Maeve in tow. I had a feeling Sam would propose now that we lived together, so a veryyy long 3 months of waiting began...

After Amazon totally ruined Sam's perfect plan by revealing the bandanna Maeve was going to wear for the proposal, he recovered the fumble by proposing that night in the very special field right by our house where we walk Maeve each night.
