We had both settled into the idea of being single and happy. We each had declared that we would "never get married again." A mutual friend invited us to New Belgium Brewery with work colleagues - we both hesitated - and both ended up going. When we met and we shook hands for the first time, the eye contact and the instant connection startled both of us. It took us a few months to fit in a first date with both our schedules. We went to a garden concert with friends, attended a John Denver / Colorado Symphony Musical Event and exchanged 14,241 text messages until finally we had our first dinner date at Ginger and Baker. Our waiter commented that he had never had a couple talk for 4 hours before they ordered dinner . . . we've been closing restaurants down ever since.
