We can't wait to celebrate our wedding day with you in a place that is incredibly special to us. When you're standing on the beach in front of Shell Island, be sure to look north past Masons Inlet and Figure Eight Island. You'll be looking towards the end of Lee-Hutaff Island, which is where we got engaged on December 12, 2020. Long before that day, Meghan grew up spending summers on the south end of Wrightsville Beach at her grandparent's beach house. Robert spent his summers in Emerald Isle and Ocracoke where he grew to love fishing in and offshore. Both of us feel at home on the coast and we live a few miles north of Wilmington in Hampstead. We made a promise to each other after renovating our house that we'd enjoy where we live. Together, we spend our weekends and evenings taking boat trips to the sandbar with our 1-year-old GSP pup, Rowan, or paddleboarding in the creek behind our house. Our home operates a lot like a bed and breakfast, with friends and family coming and going and Rowan welcoming every visitor with tail wags and sprints around the house. We've learned there are no guarantees in life so we savor our time together with friends and family. We hope you will enjoy what this coastal area has to offer during your visit. Spring weather can vary a lot, but it's one of our favorite times to get out on the beach or the water while it's quiet. We also hope that our wedding reflects what we value most: good food, good drinks, and all of you. With all that said - let's party!
