Getting There & Pre-wedding Accommodation

Flights: Aer Lingus provides many direct flight options from various US cities to Dublin Airport. Tinakilly House is located approximately 1 hour drive south of Dublin. If you are planning to rent a car during your stay, keep in mind that driving is on the left side of the road in Ireland! Ireland does not have Uber, but has it's own version of an app-based taxi service called Free Now. We suggest downloading the app if you wish to use a taxi service. https://www.free-now.com/ie/ For our oversees guests, we will arrange a private bus service from Dublin city center to Tinakilly House the morning of the wedding (Saturday August 10th). The bus pick-up will be from Merrion Square Park, located in the Georgian area of the city center (www.visitdublin.com/merrion-square). **Please communicate your travel plans with us so we can plan accordingly** There are several beautiful hotels located on or close by Merrion Square that we recommend for nights leading up to the wedding: The Merrion Hotel (5 star), The Mont Hotel (4 star), The Davenport Hotel (4 star), The Alex Hotel (4 star), Buswells Hotel (3 star), Trinity Townhouse Hotel (3 star), Shelbourne Hotel (5 star). You may also travel to Rathnew by public transport (see below for train details). There are two bus options to take from Dublin to Rathnew Village, each stopping very close to the entrance to Tinakilly House: - The 133 Bus Eireann service departs hourly from the main Dublin bus station (Busarus) and the journey is about 70 minutes. - The 133X Bus Eireann service departs Dublin Airport at 4:05pm, 4:45pm and 5:10pm Monday-Friday. The journey is about 1hr 40 minutes.

Train

InterCity Commuter Train

You may travel by train from Dublin city center (Connolly / Pearse stations) to Wicklow town; take the train with destination Rosslare Europort. This train offers beautiful coastal views and the trip lasts approximately 70 minutes. You may purchase tickets directly at the train station, no need to book online in advance. The train departs from Dublin Connolly station at 9:33am, 1:33pm, 4:33pm, 5:33pm. If you plan to take the train on Saturday morning, the day of the wedding, the 9:33am train will be the only option. Tinakilly is a 5 minute drive from the Wicklow town train station. If there is demand for people to take the train on Friday or on Saturday morning, we may arrange a shuttle service to pick you up from the train station. Please let us know if you wish to use this option!

Tinakilly Country House

Tinakilly has 48 guest rooms which will be exclusively available to our wedding guests on Saturday Aug 10th and Sunday Aug 11th (wedding night and day after). We hope that many of our out-of-town guests will join us here! A variety of room types and special wedding rates available - please contact Rob or Karen if you would like us to arrange a reservation for you on these nights. **NOTE: Guests cannot book their own rooms at Tinakilly through their website - you must go through Karen & Rob** Please consider staying in one of the above recommended hotels in Dublin city center on the Friday night and we will arrange a bus to bring you to Tinakilly on Saturday morning (arrive dressed and with your luggage. You will be able to check into your room at Tinakilly during the drinks reception).

Knockrobin Glamping

This luxury glamping site is located on the grounds of Tinakilly House, just minutes walk away from the wedding festivities. They have 13 Belle tents and 1 cedar cabin, equipped with king size beds, heaters, electric blankets, and hotel style private bathrooms. Towels, toiletries and continental breakfast are provided. Additional camp beds can be added to each tent/cabin to accommodate a third guest or child (limited availability). We have reserved the entire glamping site for our wedding weekend and have provisionally allocated some of our guests to this accommodation (we will confirm allocations upon RSVP). Guests can check-in the night before the wedding (Friday August 9th) and stay until Monday August 12th. Druids Glen Hotel & Golf Resort

This 5 star hotel with a golf course and spa is located approximately 15 minutes drive north of Tinakilly House. They have 145 guestrooms and suites including larger family rooms. We have 10 rooms on hold for our wedding guests at this venue at a special rate: - Friday August 9th, €245 per room, breakfast included - Saturday August 10th, €265 per room, breakfast included - Sunday August 12th, €225 per room, breakfast included To book one of these rooms, please contact the hotel directly, mention Rob Nicholas & Karen Lindsay and reference no. 640317 to avail of the special rate. These room rates will be released 10 weeks prior to August 9th (on May 31st). After that date, you may book at the best available rate. We will provide a shuttle bus service to bring guests staying at Druid's Glen to and from the wedding venue at Tinakilly on Saturday and Sunday.

Parkview Hotel is a 3-star hotel nestled at the foot of the Wicklow Mountains in the village of Newtownmountkennedy. It is 13 minutes drive north of Tinakilly. We have a block of 5 double rooms reserved at Parkview Hotel for the wedding weekend (3 nights from Friday August 9th). The special rate is €185 Bed & Breakfast per room, per night. Guests can book directly with the hotel and mention the name Andrew Lindsay to avail of the special rate. This room rate will be released 12 weeks prior to August 9th (on May 17th, 2024). After that date, guests may book at the best available rate. We will provide a shuttle bus service to bring guests staying at Parkview Hotel to and from the wedding venue at Tinakilly on Saturday and Sunday.

This inn is located in the heart of Wicklow Town and just 6 mins drive from Tinakilly. It has 18 bedrooms including family rooms. We do not currently have any rooms on hold at this venue.
