On October 13, 2018, we started communicating through the Zoosk App. It was advertized as a more professional dating app. The best part about the dating app was that because Rob was a paid member, I could message him without paying. I knew he was serious about finding someone to be a paid member and it allowed me to communicate with him while getting my PhD at Ohio University. Rob offered to run up to Athens for a cup of coffee or tea if I preferred. So we made a date to meet up at the Farmer's Market in Athens on Saturday, October 20, 2018, to see if we would hit it off. We ended up going over to Timothy Horton's for a warm cup of coffee/hot cocoa before having lunch uptown. Check out our gallery for some photos along the way!

Christina spent the second half of Spring break in March of 2020 at Rob's house in West Virginia. As it was becoming more obvious that things were uncertain on timing, Rob gave Christina an office to work in virtually until Ohio University was resuming in-person classes. Christina temporarily moved in and never left. Christina finished her PhD living with Rob.

We traveled to Orlando in 2022 when Christina had a work conference. We stayed at the Blue Heron Beach Resort and had dinner at Pal Campo's restaurant located next door to the Blue Heron. We returned to Orlando Florida in June of 2023 for a family vacation with Christina's family. Sarah and Henry also came down to Florida during that vacation. We arrived in Florida after some delays and missing out on staying at the beach one night before moving to the Blue Heron Beach Resort until Christina's family arrived in Disney. On June 4, 2022, Rob proposed on the dock at the Blue Heron Resort in Orlando Florida after we had a wonderful meal at Pal Campo's Restaurant. Check out our engagement video!
