Technically, we both participated in Drum Corps International in 2016 and met each other there. It wasn't until we both took an interest in each other's vague Instagram stories that we began talking. (Thanks, Archibald.)

We went to the Rock 'n Roll Hall of Fame in Cleveland, Ohio, and ate sushi afterward. We enjoyed each other's company so much that we spent the rest of the night watching Star Wars and terrible M. Night Shymalan films.
