Question

When should I RSVP?

Answer

April 29th, 2022

Question

Why is your wedding so far away???

Answer

We wanted to get married next to a lake, since that is how we met. Since our lake is not the most - wedding friendly location - we looked for something similar. The Lake House in Michigan is a beautiful venue that we fell in love with immediately. Given the distance, we understand that some of our guests may not be able to attend and that is okay! We do not assume that it is feasible for everyone, however it is what we want so please respect that

Question

What time should I arrive at the ceremony?

Answer

We recommend guest arrive 30-20 minutes prior to the start time of the ceremony in order to get seated. It also allows the ceremony to start directly on time.

Question

Can I bring a date?

Answer

On your invitation it will list the number of guests we have allotted for you/your family. Please respect that number, weddings are costly!

Question

Is there a dress code?

Answer

The bride and groom request that guest not wear jeans, jean shorts, or jean skirts. Also, even though it is by a lake please wear appropriate shirt and pants/skirt or a dress - no bathing suits allowed ;)

Question

What is your COVID protocol?

Answer

We are highly encouraging that everyone be vaccinated! Additionally, if you are un-vaccinated we would like you to wear a mask to protect those who cannot be vaccinated. If you have any specific questions about this please feel free to reach out. Hoping that by 2022, there will not be a need for a back up wedding - however, we will keep this website updated.

Question

Do you have any hotel recommendations?

Answer

Hotel recommendations can be found on the travel page on this website.

Question

I have a food allergy, can I make a special request?

Answer

Food will be served buffet style and will be listed later on once everything is finalized. Please do not contact us about allergies until that is listed. Thank you.

Question

Is there parking for the ceremony or reception?

Answer

The ceremony and reception are both at the same location and have parking for guests.

Question

Is there transportation to and from the hotels to the ceremony?

Answer

We are working with the Holiday Inn to get a shuttle, but unless you are staying at this hotel you are responsible for your ride back to your lodging. Uber or Lyft is always an option, along with having a designated driver.

Question

Where is the reception?

Answer

The ceremony and reception are at the same venue. The ceremony is outside and then we will move inside for the reception afterwards. If the weather doesn't cooperate with us - the ceremony and reception will be both inside.

Question

Do you have a registry? Where?

Answer

We are registered on Zola and Target. The links to them are under the page "Registry" on this website.

Question

What if I have a question the day of the wedding?

Answer

We request that any/all questions the day of the wedding be redirected to the Maid of Honor or the Best Man. Thank you!

For all the days along the way
