Forsyth Park is the most famous park in Georgia. It is home to a fragrant garden for the blind, repurposed from a mock fort constructed for training purposes before World War I. This park is often filled with festivals, concerts and it is home of the weekly Forsyth Park Farmers' Market.
Tybee Island is about 20 minutes outside of Savannah, it is a great place if you are looking to spend a relaxing day on the beach, climb Georgia's oldest and tallest lighthouse dating back to 1736, cool down with some ice cream from the sugar shack, or go out on a fishing charter.
River Street is made of hand-laid cobblestone that dates back to the 1700s. This street is home to century old buildings that were once cotton warehouses that have now been converted into 75 antique shops, boutiques, galleries, pubs, restaurants, inns and hotels.
