We're getting married!

Jacob and Riley met serving at their church's junior high ministry, Pipeline, in August of 2021. What started off as an ordinary friendship, quickly turned into feelings for Jacob. After months of hanging out with friends late on a Wednesday, or going to Stampede and busting some moves, Jacob was head over heels for Riley. On April 20th, 2022, Jacob was over the waiting game. He decided that the best course of action was to take Riley on a date to see if the feeling was mutual. Luckily for him, it was. They went on their first official date on April 24th, 2022 to the Miguel's in downtown San Diego at Portside Pier (the best of all the Miguel's locations). The night was filled with long conversations, laughs, and a beautiful stroll on the waterfront. From there, Jacob sat Riley down and asked if this was something that could turn into a dating relationship. There was nothing she wanted more! After a year of dating, Jacob and Riley knew that they were each other's person. After constantly praying about it and seeking the Lord's guidance, they started premarital counseling through the Mission Church. Shortly after, Jacob pulled off the biggest surprise proposal in Big Bear. Riley was genuinely shocked and overwhelmed by all the emotions, she couldn't believe this day was here! She of course accepted his proposal and the two were then joined by their families and closest friends for dinner in downtown Big Bear. Since then, they have been counting down the days to the big day in January. They cannot wait to celebrate with all of you soon! - Jacob and Riley
