A Nashville staple and a great place to stroll, take in the fall foliage, have a picnic, the list goes on. When Riley lived on West End we would walk here weekly, and we also took our engagement photos here :-)
Listen, we’re not gonna stop you from going to Broadway. In fact, if you’re visiting us for the first time, we probably should insist you visit. Start here, where there is plenty of food, drink, shopping, and music, and go where the party takes you.
A new addition to Nashville recognizing an age-old cornerstone. Black music and culture is a huge component of what makes us Music City (see: Fisk Jubilee Singers) and we’d be remiss not to include this museum by name, located right next to Fifth+Broadway.
We recently did a Nashville museum tour (courtesy of the local library) and can vouch for how comprehensive of an experience they offer here. Taylor Swift fans, you get your own section here too!
Alyssa’s favorite WFH coffee shop and less than 10 minutes’ walk from the reception venue. The almond croissant is delicious and indulgent, and the latte has never burnt my tongue even once.
We love the plant mom atmosphere in here, and the proximity to the mall is also a plus. Pro tip: a round of greenhouse shots + a mocktail is the same price as a cocktail.
Opened and owned by novelist Ann Patchett, Parnassus is a sweet and cozy bookstore in the Green Hills area. The employees are kind and knowledgeable, and there is plenty of reading material and room to sit and do so. They even have a canine employee!
One of our favorite budget date spots as it’s free to wander around inside. Let us know what your favorite wing is (we’re partial to the Garden Conservatory) and make sure to park at the mall to keep it $0.00!
The first place we ever got thrown out of as a couple, so we had to throw it on the list. This is the place for unique (and strong) cocktails and wearing jeans and a going-out-top.
Another great place to have a few drinks and bar eats. Also where we watched the Celtics win game 6 of the ECF the day we got engaged. If they’re serving pancakes when you go, order them.
Not to be confused with Centennial Park, Bicentennial Mall is just steps away from downtown-ish locales like the Nashville Farmer’s Market, Tennessee State Museum (free admission), First Horizon Park (home to our MiLB team), and, most importantly, Alyssa’s job.
Probably our favorite afterparty or football watching destination. Don’t count on the food being delicious (until you’re drunk).
A rare constant here in Nashville, SATCO is a tex-mex joint owned by Vanderbilt University alumni, right by campus. The patio is perfect for having a Corona and people watching. Highly recommend saving room for ice cream as both Sarabhas and Ben and Jerry’s are within walking distance.
