Like many couples these days, we met on the dating app, Bumble. It was in the height of the 2020 pandemic so our first date kicked off with a face mask reveal - a modern day blind date if you will. However, we both knew pretty quickly that this one was different. Even if Brent didn't buy Ashley dinner...because...drinks only on the first date (his rules not hers). We closed the restaurant down that night and we're the last two to leave the parking lot. The rest was history!

In February of 2023, we traveled out to Sedona, AZ to visit Ashley's grandparents with her sister, Shelby, and her boyfriend, Lee. On the second day they were there, all four of them went on a morning hike to Ashley's favorite spot in Sedona, Chimney Rock. After getting slightly lost on the trail, we made it to the top and found a place to sit. Ashley saw Brent slowly slide down next to her on one knee out of the corner of her eye, and the rest was well... a bit of a blur. She enthusiastically and tearfully said yes while Shelby hurdled a cactus for the perfect paparazzi shot! It was an incredible trip and we can't wait to go back again in the future to visit a historical site of our love story!
