Maid of Honor
Shay’s best friend. Known through Shay’s aunt and uncle, her and Auna had heard stories of each other and finally met in middle school when Auna changed school districts. They met in person for the first time at volleyball try outs where Shay came up to her and said “you’re Auna right, I’ve seen pictures of you”. Auna encouraged Shay to try out for cheer, where they cheered side by side for the last 3 years of high school together, competed and were paired together for stunts. Auna was the first friend of Shay’s to know about the engagement, as Ricky had looped her into the plans before even asking Shay to marry him.
Maiah
Maid of Honor
Shay’s sister and youngest of the siblings. Maiah and Shay talk on the phone almost every day, and often send silly videos, pictures and little gifts to each other. Shay is 8 years older than Maiah, so has not lived at home for a couple years, but their relationship is as strong as ever. Maiah could not wait for Ricky to propose to Shay, and she has been excited to help plan the wedding since they got engaged.
