Wedding Party

Meet our family and friends who are standing by our side.

Torran Carter

Best Man

Family, friends, music and sports make my world go ‘round. I feel my purpose in life is to create art; in many different forms. To create and bring people joy, brings me joy. So I intend to pay it forward every chance I get. My favorite memory with Rob is hanging out after school watching old sitcoms and talking about life. As broad and simplistic as it sounds, those subtleties are actually the memories I hold onto and appreciate most. An unbreakable bond of friendship has been built through those moments. I cherish all of it.

Nicole Dudley

Maid of Honor

Nicole and Rickeeta met at Florida International University in 2012. They bonded over their interest in organizing events! After over 10 years of traveling the world together and supporting each other throughout life’s milestones, their friendship has blossomed into a beautiful sisterhood. Nicole lives in sunny Miami, FL. If she is not helping her guests at Carnival Cruise Line with planning a vacation or assisting her clients with finding their dream home, she’s on an adventure collecting passport stamps and taste testing the world’s cuisines!

Rickey Wax

Man of Honor

Normally your first memory of your oldest sibling is sweet, sentimental, and cherished for eternity. However, the first shared memory Rickey can remember is when Keeta decided to profusely spray his eyes with perfume. Ironically, Keeta is now allergic to perfume. Look at Karma! Nevertheless, Rickey is deeply honored to stand by his amazing big sister and make this their best shared memory for life.

Sharmisa Anderson

Matron of Honor

My name is Sharmisa Anderson. I am a wife, mother, published author, playwright and home loan financial executive. My motto is God first, family second and career third, I stand on this. I have known Rickeeta since 3rd grade. My favorite memory with her would have to be my 9th birthday party. She came to church with me, we fought over a Barbie doll and later had a sleep over. We were more like sisters, tied at the hip… if you saw her, then I wasn’t far behind.

Neyser Rodriguez

Groomsman

My name is Neyser Rodriguez, I’m the branch director for Grinds USA a modifying car company for events. I love anime, video games and sports specially basketball. Ive played it for the longest time and the game has brought many great memories to my life. One of them is Rob. I met him in High school, we were teammates on the basketball team. My favorite memory of Rob is when we went to dunk at Olympic park after a game. We all threw down a series of dunks and it was our own slam dunk contest. It was a great time that I’ll never forget. I wish Rob and Rickeeta many blessings on their new journey together.

Shaunta Wiltz

Bridesmaid

Shaunta Wiltz was born in New Orleans, Louisiana and raised in both the New Orleans and Northshore areas. She received her Bachelors in Communication from the University of Texas at Arlington- where she met Rickeeta. She now does Medical Sales and resides in Slidell, Louisiana. Shaunta and Rickeeta have grown closer throughout the years because they've supported each other during various functions and events. The fondest memory of their friendship is when Rickeeta traveled to Dallas for Shaunta's birthday weekend, taking part in her Girls' Staycation Weekend. The weekend was full of memories that will last for years to come!

Michael Coles

Groomsman

Michael Coles, cousin in-law of the groom! My wife (Alysia) and I have been beating Rob in basketball for over 15 years and we’re still waiting for him to make a 3-pointer! From the gym, to the court, to grubbing out, we always have a blast together. The best memory comes from a sneaker game party where we all laughed to the point of crying. Good times always!

Jamila Brown

Bridesmaid

My name is Jamila. I am originally from Seattle, WA now living in Austin. I am the proud mother of a 9 year old daughter and two dogs. I met Rickeeta almost five years ago at work. Immediately drawn to her fun, intelligent and ambitious aura and we formed a friendship that has grown over time. I love her to pieces and I am so honored to be part of her special day. 💜

Dwayne Andrews

Groomsman

Rob and I met in high school through playing basketball…..go figure 😂. We actually became real close a lot sooner than I expected. Our personalities and our demeanors are almost identical so getting along and becoming great friends was not difficult at all. My parents especially liked him because he was also a Jamaican! It’s hard to pick just one memory with him because we have several great ones. There were several basketball games where we were on opposite teams and flout style of play was also very similar. So it always felt like a battle between us. Like Dwyane Wade vs Kobe Bryant. Those were the best. Another great memory was when my mom took him home with us and fed us some curry chicken before the guys came over to play basketball at my house. I could go on and on but, there’s too many great memories I’ve had with him. I love him like a brother and am very happy for both of you.

Portia Carr

Bridesmaid

My name is Portia Carr, I was born, raised, and currently reside in Dallas, TX. I share my life with my fiancé Jordan and our 3 animals Braxton, Beau, and Bankroll. I love being creative, traveling, and I’m a HUGE Golden State Warriors fan. Rickeeta and I met in high school and were fast friends being in both varsity choir and Cheerleading together. We have maintained our special bond into adulthood and have always been there to support the milestones and accomplishments in each others lives. My favorite memories of us were us doing one man cheer stunts, game days, and show choir performances. What a time to be alive! Now that we are both planning our weddings 15 days apart, I only can anticipate so many more exciting, inspiring, & unforgettable memories to come. Congratulations to you both!

Scott DaCosta

Groom's Brother

Some of my favorite memories with my bro was going not to just 1 but 2 dragonball conventions in Texas. They were in 2018 & 19. We found out they were the first official conventions by Toei animation. So we setup to go all the days available. My first time traveling by myself but in the end we had an awesome time both years and was able to see some of Texas as well. Would have gone again but the world exploded in 2020 so it was no more. The memories are forever, hopefully they comeback and do it again we’ll be there.

For all the days along the way
