A cocktail party reception is a type of reception where no formal meal is served and instead, guests indulge in a variety of passed and stationary hors d'oeuvres and small plates throughout the evening. This style of wedding reception is all about being social. A cocktail reception focuses on socializing and mingling. Guests are encouraged to explore, interact more and find common interests.
It is a summer time celebration, so we hope our guests join us for a Beach Cocktail Wedding. According to TheKnot.com Beach Cocktail is as follows: “Beach cocktail attire is semi-formal beach wedding attire. Typically, men's ties are optional, but still welcome. If you're shopping for menswear, start with a classic long-sleeve button-down and dressy pants; then, add a colorful blazer or patterned sport coat for festivity. Appropriate footwear includes nice loafers and on-theme boat shoes. Women can wear a semi-formal dress, like a maxi or midi, as well as a jumpsuit or dressy separates. A beach cocktail dress code gives you the flexibility to choose a vibrant color or bold print. Finish your outfit with a low heel, wedge or dressy flats. Beachy accessories, like a raffia clutch, are also acceptable.”
We cannot wait to dance with all of our “ring bearer and flower girl” aged guests! We welcome everyone who will bring their children, but please know that the music will turn up around 8:30pm.
No formal ceremony needed! But please plan to arrive on time for 6:30 so everyone can be present to welcome our Bride and Groom.
