We met over 10 years ago and it clicked. Despite Dave being in Pittsburgh and Richard in Los Angeles, we made it work. Dave commuted to LA on Thursday several times a month. Richard went east often and met up with Dave in Pittsburgh, New York and Washington, D.C. when we were not on an adventure, often at sea. After 3 years of this (and an arctic chill), Dave packed his bags and moved to West Hollywood and weekends in Rancho Mirage. To the extent we both travel for work (at-least until COVID), we never knew where we were going for a weekend away. And there were lots of adventures both near and far by sea and by air. The photo above was our last adventure before COVID-19, through the Panama Canal. We hoped to be married with all friends and family in attendance last May. Because we can not make firm plans to be with everyone yet, we decided to have a small wedding in our living room with Dave's parents and Richard's cousins in attendance and officiated by an old friend. We are opening up to our friends and family to celebrate by Zoom. Once COVID is under control, we look forward to celebrating with everyone.
