Rent a car and head just an hour outside the city for a great moderate hike. The hike is just over 6 miles roundtrip. Other shorter hikes in the area include: Rattlesnake Ledge (4 miles) and Mount Si (5 miles), although those trails can get pretty crowded in the summer.
