We want to say a quick thank you for being part of our love story. We've traveled cross-country and back and are incredibly grateful for everyone we laughed, loved, and made memories with along the way. We can't wait to celebrate with you!
Winter of 2019, Elizabeth and Joe met online. She almost swiped left when she realized he was visiting from out of state on a temporary military trip but thought he was cute, so she decided to give it a chance. Once they knew they had something special, they spent every day together until it was time for Joe to leave
After their time in Columbus ended, they decided to try to make long-distance work. Elizabeth's first visit was April 5th and soon after arriving, Joe asked her to be his girlfriend. She was thrilled to say yes!
In June 2019, Joe texted Elizabeth, "would you ever live in LA?" He had gotten a dream opportunity with the aerospace branch of his company in Los Angeles. She agreed and they were on their way to a fresh start together
Their years spent in Los Angeles were nothing short of magic, but Joe and Elizabeth missed everyone on the East Coast. It was time to move back home. They surprised their families with the news Christmas Eve 2021 and in January 2022, they closed on a beautiful house right outside of Philadelphia.
Joe and Elizabeth made plans with her sister, Courtney and her brother-in-law, Ryan. Along with some friends, to take a 7-day Caribbean Cruise visiting Grand Cayman, Honduras, Belize, and Mexico. Unknown to Elizabeth, the Saturday before they left, Joe had called Elizabeth's dad to ask for his blessing. Dad said, "you've got a good head on your shoulders" and shared his excitement and support for them together. There were lots of incredible group adventures throughout the cruise (we discovered Joe hates snorkeling and Elizabeth got bit by a parrot), but everyone was most excited for a steak dinner at the best restaurant on the boat. Before they went to dinner, Joe suggested they all meet in the lobby for a fun photo session by the professional photographer on board. Right before it was time for their photo, Joe handed Ryan his phone and asked him to record... Joe said, "wait, wait, one second" dropped to one knee and asked the big question. Elizabeth was stunned. She couldn't believe this was happening. She was stuck between laughing and crying and shaking until she was finally able to get out an enthusiastic, "yes!" Yes to her best friend. Yes to this wonderful life. Yes to forever.
