Stephon and Rhonda met in September 2018, at a support group in Baltimore City. Through frequent visits to various support groups, Rhonda would always come alone and sit by herself with her arms crossed looking mean. Stephon would often stare at Rhonda making her uneasy which is why she did not initially want to talk to him. However, both have a mutual friend Nikki who would always spend time with them separately. During a Fall social event, Stephon was in attendance and began building a friendship with Rhonda. From that day they would always meet to fellowship. March 4, 2019, at Stephon's birthday gathering, every picture Rhonda would take, Stephon was standing in the background smiling from ear to ear. From that day on, Rhonda & Stephon talked several times a week to a couple times a day. The two didn’t realize how much they had in common: aspirations, ambitions and putting God First. They often discussed fellowship topics. The topic of “Secrets” was a topic of interest for Stephon. So much so, that he looked over to Rhonda and said, “I have something to tell you when you are free”. While looking puzzled, Rhonda made several attempts to resist any further eye contact or conversation with Stephon surrounding that topic. A year later, Stephon & Rhonda continued to build on their friendship. Both had a desire to build a stronger relationship but wasn’t sure if they wanted to cross the Friend Zone. During COVID, Rhonda invited Stephon to have Thanksgiving dinner with her. Months later Rhonda introduced Stephon to her family who accepted and embraced him immediately. Rhonda’s mother, Rosalind acknowledged Stephon as her son the first day she met him. Stephon introduced Rhonda to his family, and they were delighted. Both families have so much in common. They love to laugh, joke, and spend time together. These are the same characteristics of Rhonda & Stephon. On May 7, 2022, Stephon proposed to Rhonda in the company of family and friends - she said YES. -The McFaddens P.S.: While you're here, don't forget to RSVP
