Rhapsodi & Henri met at PH-D rooftop in the swanky Meatpacking district of NY during an Ivy Connect Memorial Day professional happy hour. Rhapsodi walked into the event alone, because her friends were running late and Henri, standing near the door, kindly engaged her in conversation. The two chatted for an hour until Rhapsodi's friend arrived. Pleased to find out that Henri was a Harlem resident like herself, she was curious to know more about him. Having just quit her full-time job to begin graduate school at Columbia, Rhapsodi boldly asked Henri out for their first date, which took place only a few days after their first meeting...and the rest was history.

On July 21, 2018, Rhapsodi and Henri celebrated their birthdays. You may not know, but this couple shares their birthday, but three years apart on July 22nd. This year, all eyes were on Rhapsodi for her 30th birthday. As the party bus headed out to the North Fork of Long Island for a wine tour, Henri had other plans. To Rhapsodi's extreme surprise (check out the videos if you don't believe me), Henri got down on one knee at Pellegrini Vineyard to ask Rhapsodi to be his wife.

On their fifth-year anniversary of meeting each other, Henri & Rhapsodi will tie the knot in front of their close family and friends on a warm and sunny beach in Ocho Rios, Jamaica. This island is significant to the couple who are both of Caribbean heritage. Jamaica is also one of the first of 12 countries the couple visited together. Their wedding is meant to be a relaxing escape to witness, "One love...one heart" so "let's get together and feel alright."
