We met in student government at CSULB during our senior year in college; Kelsey was a Senator, and Joe was the President. ;) By the time the end-of-school-year banquet celebration rolled around, we began seeing each other. The week of finals, Joe invited Kelsey to Europe for the summer and she surprisingly said yes. We began a 70-day romance backpacking and cruising throughout 15 countries abroad. It was in Paris, France across from the Eiffel Tower that Joe, standing in a fountain, asked Kelsey to be his girlfriend on June 14, 2015. After 7.5 years of adventures together, Joe popped the question in a sentry tower of El Morro in San Juan, Puerto Rico, and thus commenced our short but sweet engagement. The night before our 8th anniversary, Joe took Kelsey to The Eldo for dinner. He expressed how nice it would be to keep our anniversary date and how he’d much rather elope, which is what Kelsey had been suggesting all along (for years). Joe called The Cute Little Wedding Chapel in Long Beach, CA and reserved our ceremony for the next day. After dinner, we went dress shopping and ring hunting and did a year’s worth of wedding planning in 5 hours. We tied the knot on June 14, 2023 - best anniversary yet! We just had to keep the anniversary date and weren't going to wait another year. It was just the two of us and our first dance was to Mr. Little Jeans’ “Heaven Sent” with a mini disco ball overhead. It was very us. Lots of love to our friends and family for your support. We love you!
