Things To Do

Here is a list of some of our favorite things to do in the Erie area during the summer that could appeal to different age groups! If you are staying in the area for a few days after or before the wedding and are looking to explore places outside the Erie area, Erie is close enough for a road trip to other fun cities such as Pittsburgh, Cleveland, Buffalo, and even Toronto!

Oliver's Beer Garden

130 East Front Street, Erie, PA 16507
, (814) 920-9666

Great outdoor bar to grab a drink and enjoy the nice weather!

Pier 6 Rooftop Bar & Restaurant

6 Sassafras Pier, Erie, PA 16507
, (814) 413-7437

Good beer, food, and a view of the bay!

Sloppy Duck Saloon

726 West Bayfront Parkway, Erie, PA 16507
, (814) 452-6699

Delicious sit down restaurant - we love their nachos and chicken parm!

Voodoo Brewing Co. - Erie Pub

101 Boston Store Place, Erie, PA 16501
, (814) 520-6990

Voodoo Love Child and Lactocooler are Noah's favorite beers! Dani will usually get a mixed drink - she loves their mojitos.

Plymouth Tavern

1109 State Street, Erie, PA 16501

Community shots for all! One of our favorite local places that has cheap, delicious bar food and drinks. Fair warning, Plymouth gets pretty busy at night, especially during the weekends.

Presque Isle Downs & Casino

8199 Perry Highway, Erie, PA 16509
, (866) 374-3386

This will either be the best or worst financial decision you could make on your trip. But remember, the casino wasn't built with winner's money :)

Brew Ha Ha at the Colony

2612 West 8th Street, Erie, PA 16505

Hands down our favorite coffee shop in Erie!

Ember + Forge

401 State Street, Erie, PA 16507
, (814) 651-0718

Great local coffee shop located downtown Erie. Walkable distance from the hotels listed on our room block.

Presque Isle State Park

301 Peninsula Drive, Erie, PA 16505
, (814) 833-7424

Bring a bathing suit, a towel and some sunscreen! Aside from the beautiful beaches, Presque Isle has kayaks, bikes and surreys available to rent. Picnic tables and charcoal grills are also available to use to have a nice picnic or cookout at the beach. Pro-tips: the sand is softer the further you drive down the peninsula, so our favorite beaches are Beach 7 or Beach 11. Presque Isle is a PA state park, so all alcohol/alcoholic beverages are prohibited***

Waldameer & Water World

220 Peninsula Drive, Erie, PA 16505
, (814) 838-3591

The local amusement/water park located in Erie, near the entrance of Presque Isle! Waldameer does not charge for admission, so feel free to walk around the park at your leisure. While day passes are available, Waldameer is unique, as you're able to purchase "Wally Cards", which will allow you to ride individual rides for a few dollars each. We definitely recommend the Ravine Flyer II rollercoaster and the Whacky Shack!

Erie Zoo

423 West 38th Street, Erie, PA 16508
, (814) 864-4091

Great family fun- ride the train if you go!

Millcreek Mall Complex

5800 Peach Street, Erie, PA 16565
, (814) 868-9000

Good for a rainy day to walk around and do some shopping. Primanti Bros. and Round 1 arcade are also located at the mall!

Cleveland

Cleveland, OH

About 1.5 hours away from Erie. Only in Ohio.

Pittsburgh

Pittsburgh, PA

About 2 hours away from Erie. Countless things to do - just don't take a wrong turn! Driving in Pittsburgh can be tricky.

Buffalo

Buffalo, NY

About 1.5 hours away from Erie. Niagara Falls, home of the buffalo wing, and the only NFL team located in the state of New York. Go Bills!

Toronto

Toronto, ON, Canada

Oh, Canada! What a great day for Canada, and therefore the world... As is tradition.

For all the days along the way
