Let's do this!

Our love story starting in 2012 when we were in college. It was Greek Life that brought us together after knowing each other from school at Gladstone High. (Devon wants me to add that we also went to middle school, but I don't remember him) After a few months of adventure, fun and getting to know one another, Devon asked Jess to be his girlfriend that September in the Sigma Chi House (romantic...) where they would end up making many more memories with lifelong friends. The next 3 years of college flew by with trips to Whistler, Shasta, Sunriver and ended with a summer abroad together in Europe. Once graduated, Devon started his career in construction while Jess finished up her final year and began her career. A couple years into working full time, Devon was offered the opportunity to work in Vancouver, B.C, where we got to explore another new city together with the challenge of long distance. Luckily this only lasted 6 months and Jess was able to visit often, making the distance easier. Once Devon moved back home, the two of us got our very first apartment together and the best part...A PUPPY. Small side track to tell you all the story of how Devon surprised Jess with her pride and joy, Remi. It was coming up on her 25th birthday and Jess had been looking at puppies online for years. Since getting our own place, we finally knew we were ready to get a dog of our own. Devon convinced Jess that she wasn't getting one for her birthday but the day after rolls around and Devon tells Jess that he's taking her on a hike... hungover from her surprise party the night before, but still willing... Jess agrees and we drive up to Washington to "hike". We pull into the parking lot of Safeway to get some snacks and all of a sudden Devon walks around the car with REMI! Jess could not contain her excited and of course cried like a little baby. Two apartments, purchasing a home and another sweet puppy named Brix later, Devon proposed!
