Question

What should I wear? Is there a dress code?

Answer

The dress code for our wedding is semi-formal/cocktail attire. Ladies can wear cocktail dresses, and the gentlemen should wear a suit and tie or a sports coat etc.

What will the weather be like this time of year?

Answer

Rainy, Hot and beautifully green. Happy Season Highs of 30 degree's, however evening can be as cool as 12 degrees

Where are the ceremony and the reception taking place?

Answer

The ceremony will be outdoors in the forest, if it rains then it will be in the chapel. The cocktail hour will be under a canopy of oak trees outdoors with an indoor lounge area as well. The reception will be indoors in the reception hall

What happens after the ceremony?

Answer

After the ceremony there will be canapes, a gin bar, cash bar, coffee, teas etc. During this time we would love to spend abit of time with all of you. We will take family and guest photos before we go off to take some very special photos of ourselves and bridal party for about an hour and a half with our talented Photographer.

What should I do if I can’t make it?

Answer

You will be missed! If you can not make it to the wedding, please let us know as soon as possible and RSVP “no,” so we can plan accordingly.

Please arrive 15-20 mins before the ceremony starts to get your seat and settle in

Are kids welcome

Answer

While we love your little ones, our wedding is going to be an adults-only event so that everyone can relax and enjoy the evening. We appreciate you making arrangements ahead of time and leaving the kids at home so you can celebrate with us Only our two flowers girls will be attending

Can I bring a date

Answer

We have a strict guest list to stay on budget. Our wedding is strictly RSVP only. To stay on budget, we will only able to accommodate those listed on your invitation Our venue cannot cater for any un announced guests

When is the RSVP deadline? Do I need to mail back my RSVP or can I do it online

Will food and drinks be served at the reception? What kind of food?

Answer

There will be no starters served, however we will have plenty of canapes and a harvest table at the cocktail hour. The Main course will be buffet style, the food is absolutely delish. Smitsfield will not cater for any unannounced guests. If you have any food allergies or are vegan or vegetarian please let us know. We will have salads available as well.

We are lucky enough to have everything we need for our new life together, so please, no gifts. Simply bring yourself and your dancing shoes – we can’t wait to celebrate with you If you do wish to celebrate with a gift, a contribution towards our wishing well would be much appreciated alternatively we do have a gift registry at Yuppiechef.

What is the timeline for the day

Answer

Please arrive 15-20 mins before the Ceremony starts to get settled and find your seat. Join us for the I Do's , which will then be followed by a cocktail hour and some photos. Then we will have the reception where we will cheers, celebrate , listen to some funny and emotional speeches and of course dance the night away.
