Our first date was April 8, 2017 in a quiet bar in SoHo, New York City, where we gushed over our mutual love of 90s hip hop. 3 days later, we had a 2nd date and became Facebook friends. 3 days after that, 3rd date at a Yankees game, and we've been inseparable since. On October 15, 2019, we were in the middle of our tropical vacation at a resort in Dominican Republic. After a wonderful morning relaxing at the beach, we decided to go back to our room for room service lunch on our private terrace. Alex had arranged for the room to be adorned with champagne, fruit, and flower petals all over. I still didn't know what was happening, so I said "cool!" and went outside to lay in the sun. Alex called my name, I turned around, and he proposed as he presented me with the most beautiful ring I've ever seen! I said an emphatic YES!
