The happy couple met in 1999 when the bride first laid eyes on the groom in the St. Elizabeth's Episcopal Church of Richmond Hill, GA. Although the couple rarely spent time together as children, they crossed paths often. The groom's older sister, Macon, babysat the bride and her sister, Whitney. Whitney’s best friend was none other than the groom's younger sister, Cole. Flash forward two decades when the groom asked his future bride to accompany him to a Christmas Party, in which she politely declined. The groom's persistence led them to their first date, and as they say, the rest was history.

To celebrate his 33rd birthday, Oliver meticulously planned the perfect vacation in the Florida Keys. The couple spent the days snorkeling and laying on white sand beaches, while they passed the evenings on sunset cruises and sharing delicious tapas. On the final night, following dinner at a boutique French restaurant, Oliver took Lauren to Mallory Square to watch the sunset over the Atlantic Ocean. Oliver had secretly planted a photographer at the venue, who approached the couple and asked if she could take a shot for her portfolio. Seconds later, Oliver was on one knee.
