The journey begins at Southeast Health Hospital in Cape Girardeau, Missouri in the summer of 2019. Jake was a nurse and Isabelle was a patient-care tech and both were members of the hospital float team. They worked together a few times. One night, they were flirting...Jake stretched and hit a plastic covering on a hallway light, which then struck Isabelle in the head. That night, whether it was because she really liked him or because she was hit in the head - Isabelle gave Jake her number and the rest is history! Years later, on their last night working at Southeast Health before moving to Louisiana - they re-created the iconic moment!

In October of 2022, during a trip to Galveston, TX to celebrate their 3 year dating anniversary, Jake popped the question! After a gorgeous morning spent touring historical mansions, they had a picnic in a nearby park. While surrounded by beautiful southern live oak trees and fountains, they exchanged gifts and read their love letters. When Isabelle finished reading her letter, Jake was on one knee with the ring! She obviously said yes!
