McKenzie and Evan met at the Four Seasons in Philadelphia when McKenzie came to check-in. McKenzie was escaping a hurricane which hit her home in New Orleans. Evan was managing the Front Office and was standing behind the desk the moment she arrived.

Evan proposed in Vail on their annual ski trip. McKenzie lived in Vail and it quickly became her favorite place. Since they met at the Four Seasons, Evan knew the perfect place to pop the question. Evan secured a private fire pit on the balcony of the Four Seasons in Vail overlooking the picturesque mountain slopes. McKenzie was admiring the view when Evan got down on one knee. He did not miss a detail as the photographer popped out of the lounge to capture the moment. She said yes!
