How Can I RSVP?

Question
Which airport should I fly into?
Answer
The closest, and easiest airport to fly into will be the Milwaukee General Mitchell International Airport (MKE). The venue is a 35-45 minute drive from the airport. Hotels near the Aleksy's in Cudahy, and hotels in Downtown Milwaukee will be closer to the airport (10-20 minutes), hotels near the Reddin's in Brookfield will be about 30 minutes away from the airport, and if you choose to stay in Mequon, Cedarburg or Grafton, you'll be closer to 40 minutes to an hour from the airport.

Will I need a rental car?
Answer
If you’re from out of town, and you’re flying into Milwaukee, you could choose to use a rental car, or you could use Uber or a similar service to get around. This is completely up to each persons individual needs and preferences.

Where should I park?
Answer
When you reach the entrance of Schlitz Audubon, you will reach the entrance hut. Drive straight down the road until you reach the parking lot, which is situated in front of the main building.

Where is the ceremony site from the parking lot?
Answer
There will be signs posted directing you to a pathway into the forest. A short walk away is the ceremony site! Find a seat, either side!

Can I take pictures during the ceremony?
Answer
We are asking for everyone to turn off their phones for the half hour ceremony, and be in the moment with us. We have hired an incredible photographer who is fully capable of capturing our special moment. It would hurt our hearts to see people’s phones in their hands in the professional photos. Don’t worry, the photos will be shared!

Will the wedding be indoors or outdoors
Answer
This is an outdoor wedding ceremony! The reception will be held indoors. We will have bug spray available as needed, as we are getting married in a nature reserve.

Will the wedding still happen if it rains?
Answer
ABSOLUTELY! We have a backup plan set up at the same venue, different location. The backup space is still outside but under the deck of the main building. The location of the ceremony will be decided day of, and it will not change where you should park!

What is the attire
Answer
Semi-Formal wear and cocktail wear are both acceptable. Suits, sports coat, dress slacks, nice khakis, gowns, or cocktail dresses. Large base heels or flats are recommended as not all walkways are paved.

Will there be food options for those with dietary restrictions?
Answer
Definitely! As long as you let us know in your RSVP what your restrictions are, we will have food for you! If you still have concerns, just reach out to us :)

What time should we arrive?
Answer
We would love for everyone to arrive a few minutes early, so the pathway to the ceremony site is clear for the wedding party to enter at 5pm! You can arrive as early as 4:30 if you wish to. If you arrive at 5, or after please wait until the entire wedding party has entered before walking into the ceremony site.

Can I bring my kids?
Answer
We kindly ask you to find a sitter for your children, unless they were specifically invited as part of the wedding party. Unfortunately we cannot invite everyone, and we would not have enough plates or seats.

Where is the guest book?
Answer
Schlitz Audubon offers a unique guest book option. In fact is not a book at all! We will have a cute wood bench available for you to write a message to us on. After the wedding Schlitz will seal the bench for us and we will take it home!

Do you have a preference of gifts?
Answer
Your presence is enough, but if you wish to give us a gift, we encourage you to browse our registry and find an experience you would like us to have, and contribute to the fund. These are things we are unsure if we can do on our own, and would be incredibly grateful for.
